Top things you may not have thought of for your wedding

  1. Booze and an eski for the photo shoot

While your guests are enjoying a few beers at the local pub, or a few champers at your wedding venue, you’ll be off getting a million photos. Make sure you take a small eski with beers and a few bottles of bubbles so you can start the fun along with everyone else. This is good for keeping rowdy groomsmen happy too.

2. An emergency wedding kit

For the big day, put Mum or your maid of honour in charge of the ultimate emergency kit. Stash this kit in the corner of the room. While you may not need anything, you will be so grateful to have it if you do. Your kit should contain:

  • Chalk to cover up any spills on the wedding dress

  • Sewing kit (scissors, thread, needle, safety pins)

  • Batteries in case the MC’s or venues mics fail

  • Panadol in case a headache strikes

  • Mini bottle of booze for liquid courage

  • Lint brush if you have any pets in the ceremony

  • Band-aids for any blisters

  • Tissues in case of tears

  • Bobby pins and hair spray to tame that hair

  • Deodorant for a hot day

  • Make-up for touch-ups

  • Chewing gum for all that smooching

3. Dietary requirements

While you may’ve remembered to put all the dietary requirements on the RSVP and have collected them all - don’t forget to tell the venue!

4. Spare pair of shoes

You’re gonna be dancing all night long, make sure to have a spare pair of flats for when the blisters start to show.

5. Cake knife

Cutting the cake is such a pivotal moment at a wedding. Make sure you do it with style with a shiny, silver sharp knife or a knife with an organza bow tied on. For an extra special touch, buy a knife and have it engraved with the date as a keepsake.

6. Toasting flutes

Their is likely going to be some tear-jerking speeches and joyous toasts. Make sure you have some extra fancy champagne flutes for possible the best toasts you will hear in your life!
